Civils & Groundwork
We have completed numerous civils and groundworks contracts since the company began in 2001. Specific trades employed by us include: JCB Operators, Plant Operators, Groundworkers, Slabbers, Kerbers, Tarworkers, Bricklayers, Drainage, Layers etc.
We undertake all large-scale macadam works in-house using our own personnel.
We carry our own blacktop and bricklaying squad to complement our operations rather than rely on sub-contracts and all of our paving works are undertaken by our own personnel who all have many years’ experience in laying a wide variety of materials.
We have a lot of experience in laying paving in varying town centre locations on footways and carriageways, our civil and groundworks packages include site clearance, excavations, piling, foundations, excavation and replacement of sub-base, removal of existing footway surfaces, access roads and car park constructions etc.
All of our operatives and staff are full time employees. We employ 40+ full-time, fully qualified site employees to undertake all works on site, ensuring that programmes are implemented to suit the project rather than the demands of hired-in-subcontract labour. Most of our personnel have worked for at least one of the management team for many years in past and present employment. We have 9 foremen responsible for their own squads consisting of between 3 and 4 operatives and split between 10 transit vans and 2 dropside pick-ups. All vans are fully equipped with the necessary tools to undertake any size job along with appropriate plant. On larger jobs or high priority jobs these resources can be combined to give increased resources or undertake the works quickly. We also operate two JCB 3cx machines along with a JCB tracked excavator and a number of 8014 mini excavators with breakers etc.

Public Realm
Landscapes and Contracts Limited have delivered a considerable number of high quality natural stone projects as main contractor, for various clients since the company was set up. Prior to 2001, a large portion of our team played significant roles in delivering similar Public Realm projects dating back to 1995.
We have completed streetscape schemes for various local authorities and housing associations, and have experience of working in busy town and city centre locations.
As part of these operations, we manage road closures and traffic diversions, and provide communication and liaison with the public.
We have a lot of experience in laying paving in varying town centre locations and have used most laying techniques and proprietary laying systems over the years; we are only one of a handful of companies licensed by the patented ACOSIM system (a high strength cementitious friction bonded system)
We have a close relationship with all the major suppliers of various paving systems including Caithness, Tobermore, Sandstone, Porphyry and Granite Setts, Kerbs, Trims and Channels.
We believe that the key to bringing any project to successful completion is communication. Our approach is to keep our clients updated throughout the whole of the works. We have an honest and pro-active ethos to everything we do and as a result, we have never had any damages applied, have never had to submit a formal claim, and we maintain good feedback from our client base, most of whom we have worked with time and time again.

MUGA
Since Landscapes and Contracts began in 2001 we have been involved in a large number of MUGA installations for various local authorities. We have completed contracts ranging from £70,000 to £700,000. We offer a unique service, which includes undertaking all groundwork’s preparation, playground equipment installation, fencing, line marking and various safety surface applications. We have a dedicated play equipment installation team and we have dealt with all of the leading manufacturers in the UK and beyond, we offer a complete and comprehensive service when developing your playground or sports areas.
